This car was ordered in Denmark for US delivery in 1983 and is a California original car. The double overhead cam M110 2.8L inline six produces 185BHP and is mated to a factory five speed Mercedes transmission. This is likely the only US-delivered car with this configuration, complete with factory AMG ground effects skirting all round. Significantly more fun and interesting than a 300TD.
One owner from new and entirely complete, including delivery papers, original order papers, jack, spare and tool kit. Comes with a huge binder of all paperwork and all service records from new.
Fully factory optioned, including DB-473 Champagne Metallic paint by DuPont, Mercedes-Benz roof rack by Thule, hidden third-row seating, A/C and sunroof. Price before taxes, duty and shipping was $48K in 1984. This example has seen around $80K in total expenditure from its one owner in its lifetime.
76,000 miles on fully rebuilt blueprinted original engine. This was a complete rebuild that included cams, pistons, connecting rods, all bearings and timing chain. All documented. On top of this, all wear items have been replaced, with suspension, brakes, bushings, running gear all gone through, all with receipts. OEM audio recently replaced including head unit and speakers. New tires on restored original wheels. A/C was also rebuilt.
The paint is in pristine condition with only minor road rash to the very front and one scuff on the driver's side hatch. No scratches or other dings are evident. The interior is truly immaculate, with the front seats wearing sheepskin covers since new and the rear seat being barely used. Seat springs are still firm.
Never crashed, always garaged and covered, clean CarFax and every document from new from the original order made in Denmark (for US delivery), the complete rebuild of the drivetrain and everything in between. Free and clear title in hand.
