My customers for this wagon requested I use square weave carpet (similar to what was used on their late 60's 280SL) and it turned out fantastic. The factory loop and velour alway look great too, but this was a nice change. So clean and tight. I'm very pleased. That said, it was nearly impossible to stretch the square weave over the wheel wells and spare tire cover, but in the end it worked out. I couldn't be happier with this wagon. It's incredible. One of the most powerful turbos I've ever seen, and it shifts absolutely perfect. It rides absolutely perfect. I'm very proud of this restoration. I left my mark on just about everything bumper to bumper and it took a good 3 months, but it was worth the time and wait. It is now on its way to Franklin, Tennessee to greet its new owners.
