(Posted on August 9, 2011) This 240D is by far the cleanest W115 240D I have ever come across. I'm currently driving this car from Fairbanks, Alaska to Los Angeles, California with my pal Sean. We should be back in about 12 days to begin the restoration. It should be noted this car is appearing in a 3-part documentary which is also being filmed currently, and it will air on Mercedes-Benz TV and Mercedes-Benz Facebook in the coming weeks. Updated November 21, 2011. It's almost finished! There was a small punch list of items still under restoration when these photos were taken (i.e., passenger side kick panel, windshield, belt molding, etc.) but all and all it's just about ready to drive away to its new home. Maybe that's yours?
