Condition and Restoration: For nearly 7 months now I've been restoring this sedan, which was downright amazing to begin with. Here is a quick list off the top of my head of what has been done:

*Completely disassembled interior and exterior for detail, polishing, cleaning, reconditioning, etc. --- this process alone took about 2 months

*New transmission

*New custom 5-piece protective sisal floor mats throughout

*New powder coated 14" lightweight Bundt alloy wheels (including cadium plated lugnuts and new center caps)

*New top-of-the-line Michelin tires

*Refinished Zebrano wood trim throughout

*Refurbished factory Becker stereo and added AUX jack for iPhone/iPod (the connection can float freely in the console or glovebox, your choice)

*New felt windlace on all 4 doors

*New b-pillar felt on all 4 doors

*Re-padded seats

*All new door seals

*New trunk seal

*Pinstripe

*New grill insert, including horizontal and vertical chrome cross bars

*New grill badge

*New wiper inserts

*Restored emblems

*New alternator

*New shift boot

*New console switches

*New garnish moldings and/or polished originals

*Brushed and polished all seat rails

*New Bosch headlamp doors

*New bulbs throughout

*30k service

*Adjusted valves and new valve cover gasket

*All new fluids and filters

*New front and rear brake pads and sensors (I believe new front rotors as well)

*New belts and hoses

*New battery

*New steering shock

*R&R A/C

*Crankshaft seal

*New shift bushings

*New glow plugs

*New A/C insulation hose

*New glow relay

*R&R vacuum system

*Etc., etc

This sedan looks and drives phenomenal. It has a great deal of power given the turbo motor, and everything works properly. There are no leaks of any kind. Given the rare color combination, ideal year, sunroof, optional leather, etc., I consider this to be an unusually special 300D. The condition of the paint, interior, polished aluminum, chrome, weather stripping, dash, wood, etc., present as new. One of the best W123 300Ds around!
